How many photos will I need?

You will need a minimum of 15 photos for a 1 minute video, unless you don’t mind different motions on the same photo. We recommend providing more than 12 as some photos encounter difficulty in animation, so we may not be able to use them with a satisfactory result. You may submit a maximum of 25 photos per minute. We will select 10-12 of the photos we believe will have the best end result for each minute.

The higher resolution the photo is, the better the results will be.
Your photos must be a minimum of 300 x 300 pixels. Our system can handle files up to 20 MegaBytes in size.

Is there anything that I should avoid in selecting my photos?

For BEST results:

• Select clear images, that are in focus.

• Portraits and Images where the subject or subjects are close to the camera provide significantly better animations. These types of images work well because the processing power used to animate the photos has less to concentrate on.

We highly suggest AVOIDING the following:

• Overly Blurry or Out of Focus Images- These images provide less than desirable results, because there is not enough information to accurately recreate an animation. You might not be pleased with the output on these.

• Photos with Prominent Signage or Complex Text - These images currently struggle during recreation because of limitations with text reproduction.

• Damaged Or Textured Photos - If there is excessive damage to the photo there may be unexpected results during animation. Some overly textured prints will cause interference on the video when animated.

• Excessively Dark or Blown Out Photos - Overly Dark or Overly Bright images, often referred to as Under or Over exposed images don’t have enough detail to accurately be animated.

• Complex or Busy Backgrounds - When the image has a lot going on such as a crowd of people or a patterned background, it can overwhelm the software used to create the animations, so please consider this when selecting your photos.

These guidelines are extremely important if considering a 4k package, as fidelity is a must for upscales to this resolution, minor distortions may occur even when these guidelines are followed.

How many people can I have in my photos?

While our software can handle small groups of people, we suggest using photos with no more than 3-4 subjects for best results. If you have a question about a specific photo, don’t hesitate to reach out to us!

What is the turn around time?

After payment is received, we can guarantee digital delivery in 5 business days. Rush orders can be delivered in as little as 12 hours but additional cost will be incurred.

What is Side by Side View?

Side by Side will show the original photo alongside the animated portrait.

Can I get a vertical version?

We deliver all our videos in 16x9 format, however yes, you may request a vertical 9:16 video for an additional fee.

Can you really put the photo subject in any place or time?

Yes, but of course there are some limits. Imagine you have a photo of your friend standing in your backyard. Now, pretend you want to make it look like your friend is standing on the moon or at the beach instead.
Many people like to use this option to put their subject in a famous place for example in front of the Pyramids in Egypt. Our process makes it look natural, as if they were really there— Like Magic!

What are Vintage Feathered Edges or Crisp Modern Look?

The Vintage look adds soft rounded edges on photos and Modern Edges leave hard edges with corners.

And last, please do consider that these keepsakes are best thought of as artistic renderings; we do our best to approximate people and natural movements. The process isn’t perfect and neither are we.
